Frequently Asked Questions
We welcome children into the classroom once they are able to walk independently.
Can I bring my children to class late?
While we do encourage you to bring your children on time each week, we do accept kids at any time during the church service. There is no cutoff time.
When is children’s ministry offered?
Programs for kids are held during each of the four weekend services. Please see our weekly schedule for more information on our programs.
What steps do I take to have my child baptized?
The first and most important step is to help your child understand the significance of salvation. We offer a monthly children's baptism class at both campuses for the child and parent to attend together. It is important for your child to understand Salvation and Baptism.
Please also remember that baptism does not "save" your child. Romans 10:9 says-- "if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Baptism is a step of obedience that is taken after the profession of faith has occurred.
Once your child is prepared to receive Christ and be baptized, here are the steps you take:
1. Attend the New Believers Class for Kids with your child.
This class is offered monthly from 9:30 am until 12:00 pm. This class is designed specifically for children and carefully explains what it means to be a Christian. Each child is given the opportunity to make a personal commitment to follow Jesus. There is no pressure applied. Salvation is a work of the Holy Spirit, not human effort.
North Campus - on the first Saturday of each month at 9:30 am.
West Campus - on the first Sunday of each month at 9:30 am.
This class is required for all children who are baptized at Mt. Olivet. Children must be at least 5 years of age to attend and parents are required to attend this class with their child.
2. Enjoy your child's baptism!
Baptisms at the North campus are conducted in the Worship Center prior to the 11:30 am service. Please check in at the Baptism Class table in the lobby by 10:30 am.
Baptisms are also held in Aloha at the West campus - on various Sundays throughout the year.
