We welcome children into the classroom once they are able to walk independently (1 year old).

How will I know when my child is ready to receive Christ?
Please check out this article for great tips on recognizing when your child is ready to receive salvation through Christ ~"Is My Child Ready to Accept Christ?"

What steps do I take to have my child baptized?
The first and most important step is to help your child understand the significance of salvation.  This helpful article provides great information to help prepare you and your child for this most important decision ~ "The Child and Salvation: Signs of Accountability"

Please also remember that baptism does not "save" your child.  Romans 10:9 says-- "if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."  Baptism is a step of obedience that is taken after the profession of faith has occurred.

Once your child is prepared to receive Christ and be baptized, here are the steps you take:

1.  Attend the New Believers Class for Kids with your child.
This class is offered at both locations.
North Campus - on the first Saturday of each month at 9:30 am.
West Campus - on the first Sunday of each month at 9:00 am.

This class is designed specifically for children and carefully explains what it means to be a Christian.  Each child is given the opportunity to make a personal commitment to follow Jesus.  There is no pressure applied.  Salvation is a work of the Holy Spirit, not human effort.

This class is required for all children who are baptized at Mt. Olivet.  Children must be at least 6 years of age to attend and parents are required to attend this class with their child.

2.  Enjoy your child's baptism!
Baptisms are conducted in the Worship Center prior to the11:30am service. Please check in at the Baptism Class table by 10:30am.
